2-steppin a 6-speed

Anyone use a 2-step rev limiter to launch there 6 speed? What did you use, ignition box or stand alone limiter.

Thanks
Kevin

Thanks for the reply. One more question, how did you trigger the 2-step, from the clutch or a push button by hand?

Thanks

Good old 6AL and its built in rev limiter have worked fine for me. What do you use the step for exactly?

You would set the second step at the rpm you want to launch at. Example 3500rpm, trigger the two step, hold the gas pedal to the floor and the rpm's would stay there untill the trigger is released either by a switch on the clutch pedal or a push button. One less variable when trying to get a consistant 60-foot time. Once the 2nd step is deactivated the max rpm chip would come back on providing over-rev protection.
