2 problems... ignition and VATS
2 problems guys... first, my ignition becomes very hard to turn when I turn the car off. I can turn the key back and shut the car down. After that I have to really wrench the thing back to get the two little lines to align and be able to take the key out of the ignition. What would cause this?
Next, I got the portion of the VATS system deleted by Bryan at PCMforless when I got my tune done but how do I get the rest of the system deactivated? I always have trouble with the SECURITY light coming on when I try to start the car and I have to wait exactly 3 minutes for the light to turn off before I get another chance to start the car. Occasionally it hits me with a double dose of 'security' and I have to wait an additional 3 minutes.

The first problem could be your ignition switch jamming up or the linkage to it having a problem. You can take the rod loose from the switch and see if the key turns freely. That should help you isolate the problem.
The VATS issue is likely that it is not receiving the pellet info from the key. PCM reprogramming does not address this part of the VATS.
