2 foot of water!!!!!

I hit a creek flowing over the road outside of houston about a week ago. It was about 2 feet deep. After about 5 miles if I gave it more than 1/4 throttle it would studder and back fire until it hit about 2500 rpm then it drove like normal. about 2 minutes later it died and would not start.

I had it towed to my dads house and got it up on jack stands and the starter housing had shattered. I replaced it and it drove like normal. When i left I got on I 10 and when it hit opperating temp it started to run like crap again. So when i got home I tore it apart and put a new opti on it. It ran the same with the same simptoms as above.

What the hell do yall think is wrong?????

Re: 2 foot of water!!!!!

you simply unplug the MAF sensor and see how it runs in speed density mode... (wich occurs if the MAF is unplugged)... is your SES light on?

Re: 2 foot of water!!!!!

Best bet is to scan the code generating the SES light...and work from there.

Re: 2 foot of water!!!!!

same exact thing happened to me, and the starter busted on me too. One thing you might want to do is check your oil, it probably has water mixed in it. Another thing is to check your plugs too. At least you didn't have to push it out of the puddle like I did since thats were mine stalled.
