1st prob w/ the SS

Hey everyone, found this board recently and this is my first post.
I got my 1st f-body this summer, a '97 SS which was completely stock, just 19,000 on the tach. Couple weeks ago put a Trick flow elbow on and couple days ago did the TB bypass and threw on a Holley powershot filter. Today I notice the service engine soon light come on and I don't know why; I mean engine is all tuned up. Only thing I can think of is that the hood came down on top of the MAF when I closed it after putting on the aluminum elbow which raised the thing a bit. Also noticed there is no seal underneath the hood scoop and that the air box is a little warped.
Any feedback on this guys? Appreciate it.

recheck all your connections.. see if you can't get things to fit a bit better, tweak time is time well spent..

then pull the ecm fuse or the battery cable to reset the computer.. turn it on and see if the code comes back..

the best way to find out what is wrong is to get it scanned.Try Autozone. One thing to check-make sure the intake elbow is on the throttle body all the way.Very easy to get it wrong.Check the underside of it.

Thumbs up

Good stuff, all I had to do was disconnect the battery cables and that took care of the problem. Don't know how it worked, but it did. Thanks for the help.
