My old one was hacked up with quite a few holes and cracks. I can actually feel a difference at the throttle, My old one must have really been messed up :-)

That's good to hear. I have a slight tear where the band clamp tightens around the throttle body. Do you guys think that slight tear would cause some of my surging because it is underneath the clamp itself??

 

Well, since I had so many cracks it's hard for me to determine which one was causing it. BUT, I can assure you that it was causing me some MAJOR surging at stoplights every so often. I'm telling you, the car would rev itself up to 1000 rpms and back down and back up. After I temporarily plugged one of the holes, that stopped mostly. Now I shouldn't have any I hope. It's definately worth replacing for 55 shipped from GMPartsdirect.com.
