My 1LE also came with a new IAT sensor. That's ~ a $15.00 value. I can't say with certainty, but I doubt the aftermarket elbows provide that sensor.

so would the trick flow or vortech elbow clearance 58mm opening well?

I just checked and my trickflow is smaller like the one in the picture. I'm not sure if its costing me any power or not, I'll check the diameter of it tomarrow.

thats interesting....i'd be curious to find out.....i wonder if anyone has ever done any dyno testing regarding this....my guess though is it wouldn't be a problem at all

I doubt it is, if the area of the elbow is greater than the area of twin 58mm holes it shouldn't be a restriction.

This is true, however, in general we spend alot of money to have our heads ported and polished, port matched, gasket matched ect, it just seems like a step in the wrong direction. My money is on the 1LE elbow. Granted this is all IMO, and maybe when I go to get my car Dyno'ed if a few weeks I can test this and let you all know.

The Vortech elbow I have has a divider down the middle of it. That coupled with heat soak makes me wonder whether or not it hinders performance.
