1997 SS question, please help

did any of these come with rear end gears under 3.23.

I don't believe so. On the WS6 cars, an A4 tranny option mandated the GU5 option (3.23). All M6 cars got 3.42s regardless of WS6 status or not. I assume the SS cars were setup the same way.
