It's all a game my friends. JMHO

I made 451rwhp with that "terrible scam air box"

Also ran 120mph trap speeds with my previous 416rwhp engine.

I think it works pretty good

Yes i agree ken very interesting. as mine is # 395 and it had it. did you opt for the performance exhaust pkg. when you bought it new? I did but i also know that these cars never left Slp in the # that was on the cars so you could have car # 250 and car #400 could have gotten to the show room first.funny how these cars were done .Thanks. Mike...

Forgot to tell the people who are wondering if they had the extruded manifolds...
I had bought a set off a guy and put them on my car prior to the AS&M's. They did have SLP cast in the side. That would be a real easy way to check because they looked identical to the stock ones. They obviously had GM stamped on them..... A mirror and a flashlight might tell you.

I bought the car new back in Feb. 1996. I added optional 2OTL exhaust and the level 2 bilstein suspension. Wouldn't a vin # show what order they were really in?

I don't care if you made 1000 RWHP with the Scam Air Box. It is a POS and you know it. Cause it sure wasn't the Air Box that gave you those numbers.JMHO

A differant booklet came out and it says 305hp with preformance exshaust. So i really wonder what happened.I have both of these booklets that came from the dealership in 96 when i bought it new. It was about 2 months later when i took my car in for service when i seen the new booklet and keept that one as well. Who knows???? Thanks. Mike...
The extruded honed manifolds was to be standard. But only a limited amount were actually produced

here is a copy of the 1996 brochure

Granted there has been some sealing problems, I know a few that have tested it againts other CAI on dynos no difference. That is not taking into affect the Psuedo Ram Air effect while moving
