First post, so keep the sarcasm to a maximum...

I have a trashed 1995 Z28 with a low mileage crate engine that I am considering swapping the engine (maybe trans?) into my 1980 K10 project truck. Does that sound reasonably doable and/or cost effective? Any suggestions or pointers if so?

if you intend keeping the FI, Opti of the donor LT1 than you will need to use the donor wiring harness and PCM

Or convert the LT1 to a carb motor. GMPP makes the carb intake & Opti block off plate with timing pointer so conventional distributor is used
