I want to buy a set of headers but have no idea what to get. For one im not about to buy some for $1000 Im just trying to get info. Ok so when they say
1'' 3/4 I know thats the pipe size but is that thick whats the thickest? also shorts, mids, longs what do I need? What gives more hp. also what is the deal with the y-pipe are they only needed on mids and shorts? Is there not a header out there that i can just bolt on and bolt to my stock y-pipe. I mean Im almost positive its stock I only have flow masters. and last is it worth it to put true duals on an lt1. I know is been done but you lose a lot of ground clearance.

Here are some cliff notes however-
Long tube headers = highest HP typically. Shorts/Mids = not quite as much but don't lose as much ground clearance.

True Duals- eh, up to you. Some swear it gives more power but typically for price and amount of screwing around it takes for your average person prol not worth it.
