Now that price is a little more suitable.

Thumbs up

Thanks to everyone ...put a new ICM in, and the thing fired right over THANKS....but....i now have a MSD Blaster coil in there, and am having a problem with the car running hot...it has ALWAYS gotten hot when sitting in traffic, it never boiled over, but the temp was up there, now it gets hot just waiting for the light to turn green. Thermo (OEM 180) is new (within 2 months) and that never solved my problem before. I noticed taht my primary fan isnt working, the temp soars right over 225 and i turn the ac on to get the second fan to come on...any ideas? I switched the relays and the same thing happened. I will post this in another section, but i will still check this...thanks!

glad you got it fixed.

as for the heating, are you sure it is the corect LT1 thermo?
I asume you bled the system correctly? do both fans come on with the ac?

Primary fan control comes from the coolant temp sensor on the water pump. if it;s out of calibration it can be reading lower then the acual temp and by the time it tells the computer to turn the fans on it could already be too hot.

OK so i just went outside...in the rain just to see what happened if i just let it run...so i messed around for a while adjusting headlights, and waited and waited as the temp went up (VERY SLOWLY now) the temp hit 235 and the fan went on...is this OK? what is the normal temp for the fan to come on? I havent gotten a chance to drive it because its raining tonight, but maybe tomorrow...thanks!

thats pretty much right. They come on rather late. this is why a lot of us run 160 thermos and a manual or programed fan switch
