1994 z28 lt1 engine sucks air inlet hose

my 1994 z28 had some bad fuel issues that I think got aired out so when checking it out I had it reved to about 2500 rpm and my son was looking under the hood and noticed when I goosed it a little the air hose that goes into the tb closed like you put your fist around it cutting down on the air intake. I have had it about 3 weeks and runs good the air filter is new,( I checked it when I bought it) it has the stock air clearner on it. it does have a high lift cam in it. would it cause it to need that mush more air? is it time for a cold air type set up? thanks in advance for your help

If the inlet was severely clogged, it might do that. Pretty unusual.

Are you using the stock ribbed 90-deg elbow from the MAF sensor to the throttle body? Did you check for something blocking the screen on the inlet side of the MAF sensor.

Re: 1994 z28 lt1 engine sucks air inlet hose

sorry it took a while to get back to yall. I had lightning hit my house and ruined my electronic gadgets in the house so it took a while to get everything fixed....I went ahead and took everything apart and found nothing to stop the airflow so I went ahead and swaped the air box and filter to a fresh air type. seems ok now thanks again
