I would think that its prolly 270-80 to the wheels, it should be close to a stockish Z28 with just those mods.
More like 260-270. I had 272/315 with shorties and open borla.

shorties really dont add that much power though, in most cases, i dont even count shorties as a performance mod....

you guys are insane to think those mods on an LT1 auto are making 270+rwhp

My 97 Trans Am made 261rwhp/305rwtq and I had a spintech catback, shorty headers, TB, UD pulley, K&N FIPK, madz28 tune, etc...

I'd say that car is making around 245, maybe 250rwhp at best through an auto

But wait from what I hear, an MSN ignition system jumps the horsepower a bit too. True or false?

On a stock or mild modded car with a healty ignition system, the MSD box isn't going to make a power increase.

I'd guess he may be making maybe 20 hp over stock. I have a 94 and with all the modes I have on it, its about 330 plus HP and well over 400 ft lbs of torque on the dyno. No way he's making what he's been told by his seller. Still if its in great shape and you like it, go for it.

If that car is making 260 at the rear wheels, it's a miracle.

Dyno proven or timeslips YOU saw him run.

He's assuming the 305 the later cars were rated and adding for his mods based on the advertisements of possible gains...

The 94s were 275 advertised, MAYBE 240-250 rwhp in the real world, and on the low side of that for autos.

FWIW, that car will run 14.0, maybe 13.9 at just over 100.

Wanna put money on it?

LOL...definately not happening with those bolt-on's...but, as to the question is the car worth it???

Maybe, but some pics if possible would be nice or just a better description...but, assuming it has been taken care of, probably worth it.

If it had an LS1 in it maybe, but not in an LT1 platform.

I asked him how he got 12.3 at the track and his response was "DR's and a really good launch." What are DR's? Idk if that's a stupid question or not, but I don't know what that is I don't think.
