1994 TA airpump is it that inportant?
The AIR pump puts air into the exhaust manifolds for about the first 3 minutes after startup, to help the catalytic converter heat up faster. If you have removed the cat, you don't need the AIR. Some people claim that the absence of AIR will cause the cat to fail sooner, but I have not seen any hard evidence of this.
There is absolutely no performance gain related to removing AIR, since it doesn't operate at WOT. You will save about 7# of excess weight.
In the 0BD-I 93-95 models, you can simply disconnect the harness from the pump, and as long as there is a good fuse in the circuit, it will not set a code/SES light.
