1993 z28

I apologize if this is in the wrong section as I am not familiar with Camaro's

A friend of mine has a 1993 z28 Camaro and I wanted to know the HP with his upgrades and what his quater-mile SHOULD look like. He sent me the following information on his upgrades (some may not be relevant to performance).

msd wiring, stage 3 catalytic converter, flowmasters, and k&n intake.

I know stock it runs around 275, however, what should it be at now? Thanks in advance

260+ pending on trans there are factory freaks though. My 93 hit 305hp with just exhaust and no cat.

Add anywhere from 10-20 HP, conservatively, for the mods.

275 is rated at the flywheel.

He probably has around 260RWHP depending on if it's auto or manual.

305? Wow. Do you have the dyno sheet for that by any chance?

Thank you, I appreciate the replies.

260+ 10-20 for hp, got it.
I doubt he's running in the 300's, unless he has a "factory beast".

A couple of the things he listed look a little flakey.... "Flowmasters" - there is only one muffler. What is a "stage 3 catalytic converter"? I've never heard of that specifically.

I suspect it's a high-flow cat.

That's what he sent me via text. (Not from my observation)

I know he will be in the range of 260-310. But it's nice to know within 10 or so HP. :/

You (and people responding) need to state whether you are talking about flywheel HP or rear wheel HP. Its really not clear in many of the posts. Knowing what kind of trans it has would allow a better estimate of rwHP.

Exactly.

Stock you are looking around 250-260RWHP stock. From what I've read Flowmaster exhausts don't flow too well, so I'm not sure how much he would gain from that.

If by K&N Intake you mean a Cold Air Intake, that will probably add around 10-15.

So he's probably around 260-275RWHP with the intake, and a quarter mile time in the low 14's.
