1993 Firehawk, opti repalcement, is it worth the upgrade to vented opt ?
1993 Firehawk, opti repalcement, is it worth the upgrade to vented opt ?
I have a 93 Firehawk M6 with 132K and has the orginal optispark. The opti needs to be replaced. Should I do the vented opti upgrade or stay with the OEM non vented. I got 132K out of the non vented opti so they must not be to bad. I will be going with the AC Delco unit either way.
Thanks

If you are not intending any of the necessary changes you need to make to go vented, then I would say no. You could always do a vented MSD cap and rotor kit on the AC-Delco unit.

Thanks shoebox, thats a good idea. I saw some new Delphi optis on Ebay for 325. I thought that was a decent price for the non vented.
