1993 Camaro Dash pad - which color?
1993 Camaro Dash pad - which color?
Has anyone replaced their dash pad? Where did you buy it, was the color close to original? Or did you have to paint it to match?
My interior is graphite, Rock auto list a Slate Grey and Dark Grey. not sure if one of them will be close to the original?

Re: 1993 Camaro Dash pad - which color?
Posting this for future reference.
I called a few companies about paint. I could not find an exact match. Years ago when I installed my pillar gauge pod I bought paint from Eastwood, but it's no longer available, or at least they changed the name.and we couldn't really determine a match
So I decided to buy an OEM one so I was sure the color matched..
The 93-95 Graphite dash cover is part# 10267171
GMpartdirect carries them, but the shipping cost is way out of line Part $295, shipping was $300!!!.I tried calling but no one could explain it.
I purchased it for an Ebay reseller $349 + $30 shipping.
Expensive piece of plastic!

Thanks for the follow up John. Not many people here any more. Good to see you’re still hanging on to the Camaro. I thought I had mine sold but the guy never showed up to close the deal. Interested?

Re: 1993 Camaro Dash pad - which color?
I bought an OEM dash/crash pad from my local hometown dealer 2-3 years ago for what seemed like a reasonable price at the time. I haven't installed it as my original isn't yet cracked. Weren't these things discontinued at one point? I bought mine when I thought they were about to be gone forever and was pretty happy to get one for less than a ridiculous amount. I'm pretty sure some of the online sites were showing them as no longer available/discontinued. I'm almost positive that was the case for the 4th gen LSx fbodys and those pads are now available again. They've either started making more or found some old stock somewhere.
I'm not sure why, but the "estimated shipping" on this particular piece is much more reasonable via gmpartsnow.com, which is the online storefront for Berger Chevrolet in Grand Rapids, Michigan, vs gmpartsdirect. I've considered buying a few things from them and driving over to pick them up as I'm not far from Grand Rapids. In some cases it would be well worth it to save on shipping. My front bumper cover is cracked and those are still available. I really wish I could find a hood and driver's side door.

Eckler’s has graphite same color. It lays “over” your original. I prefer this because I dynomated the car as well as the original cracked cover. It fits very well. They also have our window/lock switches with molding for under a hundred bucks.
