1993 460le transmission question

I know that the '93 trans is the same as the rest of the 4th gens except it is not electronically controlled. my ? is as far as aftermarket parts go (transgo shift kit, LT's, torque converter, etc) is there any difference in these parts or installation. Any help would be appreciated!

LT's have nothing to do with the tranny.

but when your looking for a TQ conv. or shift kit, if it doesnt specify 93. look for a 700r4 application or call who your oprdering it from to make sure.

edit: also the 93 is the 4L60 not the 460L. all the e means is electronically controlled.

Not sure about your question . Try and post it in the drivetrain forum. (All though alot more people read the lt1 tech than the drivetrain forum.)

Hey thanks for the quick reply guys! I know LT's have nothing to do with trans, but just wanted to throw that in there in case there was some random part that is different for the '93's. also thanks for the info, i just posted this in drivetrain as well. I just hope that the '93 is not so different that I can't do much to it without dropping anymore $$$ than normal.

1993's use a 700R4 trans AKA a 4L60, 1994 up has a 4L60E, then GM went to the 4L60E in 1995 with PWM...Meaning the converter is pulse width modulated, ( PWM ) it applies in stages, lock up pulses on, not a direct instant lock up....

Hope this helps
