18 degree heads?

I'm trying to find a set of 18 degree heads that will bolt up fairly easy to a lt1 block... I'd like to be flowing around 300cfm intake and 250- 260ish on the exhaust side. Does anybody know a good manufacturer that can produce numbers like this? Cost is not an issue. Thanks, Tony

I think they all or at least most will actually bolt up easially on the block. The lt1 is basically a SBC with reverse cooling. I think the bolt pattern is the same, BUT like the person above said, you will need to get them "converted" to reverse cooled. That is the main thing i think , not the actuall bolting up.

Also I THINK you will have to have the intake manifold modified , or either get a new intake. I THINK you possibly might also need new pistons.

There are some on this page who have done it though. I think they could fill you in more. Mindgame comes to mind. He has 15 degree heads , and I think his were originally 18* heads which had been angle milled, and the valved angle altered to make them 15* . I think he even used an lt1/lt4 intake, but he had to have it modified I think . You can try and search and see if you can find the post where he gives the price for alot of the stuff that you will need to "convert" in one of the post i read. It was a little while back, so I don't remember the title of the post.

Anyways , I think his heads were flowing in the 340 range. Not sure at what lift point, but he was making 560+ RWHP on all motor with a 383 i think. And I think the car is a daily driver also.

It's extremely cost prohibitive. I believe it was mindgame or someone else who put the SB2.2 heads on if I remember right. Very expensive to do, but WELL worth it IMHO.
