17" wheels wont affect odometer will it?

I have some 275/40/17 drag radials, i'm pretty sure it wont affect the odometer will it? I know it'll throw off the speedometer a little.

no.....it won't throw off the speedometer or anything. it's the same height as the stock 245/50/16 tire.

When you put in a larger wheel in the mix you just drop the aspect ratio and the tire is the same size overall. The 1st number for example in a 275/40/17 is 275, thats the width of the tread in mm. The next number 40 is the aspect ratio, so the height of the tire from the wheel to the outside of the tread is 40% of 275. Get it? The last number, 17 is the diameter of the wheel. Hope that makes since. -Brad

Yeah, I knew what each of the numbers meant, but I didnt think about them being the same height, so there for not affecting either. Thanks guys.

If you go to tirerack.com, they have a tire diameter calculator...just punch in the tires sizes and you'll see they're very close to each other.
