160 Thermo guys...What temp do you run at?

I've had mine in for a couple months now. Outside temp has been cool, but the guage on my cluster reads between 160 and 185. About 2/3 the way to 185. So, about 175. Thing is I'm not sure how accurate these guages really are.

Guage stays constant at around 175 on highway or in traffic...cool days or warm. I was wondering if it's getting a reading, but it shows the car warming up normaly when started.

Maybe there's not a problem, but while it's not bad, it just doesn't seem right.

That sounds about normal. Your running temp will be 10º-15º higher than the opening temp of the thermostat. It's still going to be 20º cooler than the 180º thermostat.

Thats is right around where mine runs so I would say its normal. In the heat of summer it will be higher. Also need to program the fan settings.Or a manual switch.I use my A/C constantly in the summer so my fans stay on.

Good...thanks...

Fans are already programed, but the temp never gets high enough for them to come on, but it's not quite summer yet.

I have the jet fan switch set up so I run about 170 in cold weather and up to 180 in warm. At idle it will go up to 195 before the fans kick in and drop to 180's in traffic.

When I had my car programed the guy said the car would run at 180* with the 160* thermostat in it.

Mine is right around 175 by my gauge, although I have never had it scanned. Also programmed the Computer via HPP for the 160
T-stat.
