Autozone has the Hypertech 160 Stat availible P/N-1008 for 20.00, Will this work right, I dont have any fan switches or pcm program but will this still operate like it should and keep me below 210 sitting it traffic?

That is the correct thermostat, but it you will heat up in traffic just as before. The only thing different about the thermostat is that it opens 20° sooner than the stock one does. After that, everything is the same. If you have your fans come on sooner, you will stay cooler in traffic. You must have air flow across the radiator to dissipate the heat.

It will do some good. Since your engine will stay a little cooler while you are moving, it will take longer to get hot when you stop for a bit in traffic. Then, when you get moving again, it will cool down more than it did with the 180. Overall, it should run a little cooler.

Whatever cap you get just make sure it is an 18 psi one.
