160 stat

160 stat

If i install a 160 stat will it help keep underhood temp down,i have slp shorties installed.Not coated.

The 160 Tstat along with having the computer programmed for the 160 tstat will turn the fans on around 175-180 and yes it will keep the engine cooler and is a must, because from the factory these cars reach 220 deg before the fans cut on.

Well if the engine is running cooler it should keep the underhood a little cooler as well. The main thing though is that the engine is running cooler.
