Does the 160 Degree thermostat really help out that much. I heard that it makes your engine run really lean?

 

You will have to have the PCM reprogrammed to turn on the fans at a lower temp. It aids in preventing detonation and will give you a slightly denser charge of air because of the lower operating temp. Donīt expect huge power gains.
