15'' wheels on f-body

Im wanting to buy some draglites 15x3.5 and 15x8's out of summit. My questions are do I need to grind the calipers? Do I need to buy longer studs? What backspacing do I need on all the wheels? Do I need to run spacers and how do I know what sizes to get. If I order these through summit , will they know what I need and do they sell all the parts. Anyone bought these from summit? Shipping charges? Thanks Mike

summit has free shipping dont they? they wont know about the spacer deal, but they should sell them. longer front studs would be a smart idea, with the spacer it makes the threads a lil shallow.

as far as the wheels,15x3.2 get the smaller of the 2 listed b/s. the 15x8 is a 5.5" b/s,and i do believe you have to grind the caliper.
the spacers for the front can be bought at pepbpys etc and are 5/16" (if i remember correctly).

You should only need to grind the calipers (not recommended) on a 98+ LS1 car. Or if you are using the LS1 brake conversion I would guess.

I have 15'' Centerlines. I didnt have to grind on anything. I would get as much bs'ing as possible so your tires dont stick out to far.

You should be all right with 5.5 BS if you stick with a 15x8, a 15x10 on the other hand needs a 6.5 or even a 7.5 BS to tuck it under nicely. I have 15x10s with 5.5 BS and they stick out some but I like it that way.
I went with Weld Pro Star XPs because they don,t require any modifications to the calipers or any spacers.
They are heavier than regular Pro Stars.

I wouldn't recommend skinnies for daily driving, but there will be a boatload of folks who disagree I'm sure.

Check out this link!!!

If you still want the Pro Stars, you will need WLD-96-58280 (15x8, 5.5"BS, 5x4.75" BP) Rear, and WLD-96-54270 (15x3.5", 1.75" BS, 5x4.75" BP) Front. YOU WILL NEED LUG NUTS. WLD-601-1412 (12x1.5 Shank Style 1.310" Closed End, 4 pack) Wheel spacers are 7/32" MRG-2370, 5/16" MRG-2371, and 7/16" MRG-2372.

I have 15x6 up front and 15x8.5 in the rear. The front tires are plenty wide and handle good in turns. Im running 205/60/15's up front and 295/50/15's in the rear. They are skinny but not to bad. Nothing like a 3'' front rim.

I run 15" Telstars, didn't have to do any grinding or run spacers.

Unfortunatly, with Weld Drag Lites and Pro Stars, you'll need to run spacers, but shouldn't have to grind your calipers if you've got stock sized LT1 calipers.
