First off, what was you 60foot times with the 15.4 run and your best of 15.1???

Second, It is probably a good idea to change your plug wires. How many miles do you have on your car? Is it an automatic or 6speed?

Last, Do you notice any kind of sputtering or hesitation?

Your going to have to give more specifics of the run and your car in general to get help. There are many sets of wires that come assembled already.

Need more info to give any help. I will say this. My friend owns a 1995 Trans Am and he was running some slow times as well. He changed his plugs, wires, O2 sensors, etc, etc. Then one day coming back from the track he lost all power in his car. When he did some investigating he noticed his catylic converter was GLOWING red! It was completely clogged with dirt. I should point out that the day this happened he had run some 15.9's-16.1's at the track. So he has the car towed to town and he proceeded to punch out the converter. (We have no emmision's here. ) The car responded excellently. The next weekend he was running from 13.9 to 14.2's at over 100mph! My advice.......check the condition of your converter, it may be extremely dirty!

Oh yeah, aside from a flowmaster exhaust his car is stock.

Ok the car read's 149,xxx but the people i bought the car off of said they put a new motor in it around 100,xxx. an NEW one they said, but it sure dont run like it. Well I would post all my times but my borhter drove my car to work, and they are in there so i will post them later on tonight, It has a little hesitation, I done cut the cat off, its a 1994 and they said you could also a A4 to. I had a $250 flowmast exhaust on it and it killed my power belive it or not so i cut it off, I get pretty good traction. My car has stock plug wires on it thats why i say its that, I have Bosh Platem's in it right now So anyone have any impot?

I have had problems with bosch but they aren't bad plugs. Not to mention the ones I pulled out of my car fell apart (the tips). Could even be the opti. I replaced mine and it runs like a champ! Now i just need to through the flowmaster junk away!

I done changed my oil like 50 miles ago & oil filter, Cleaned my TB and Mass air ( I know i didnt mess the mass air because i used rubber gloves and did tuch the sensors. The plugs have about 50 miles on them to I changed them at the same times as oil, I am going to order plug wires as soon as i can find some done assembled. How much are O2 sensors (anyone think it might help)?? I dont know it really has me P*ssed so bad I am about to sell it

So, how does the car run?? Does it seem to miss or no? Do you have any codes? I doubt a O2 sensor is going to hurt your tims by that much.

there could be a whole lot of things causing slow times...bad opti, plugs, wires...bad fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator (I ran a 15.9@89MPH with my FPR spewing fuel on the back of the intake) bad/fouled O2 sensors, etc. You need to do some diagnostic work before you start replacing stuff or your going to be one of those guys that post about how they dumped $2000 into their car and it still has the problem. Throw a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel rail and check it while idling and driving. keep the gauge on there when you shut the car off and see how long it takes for the fuel pressure to go down (it should take some time) Check the plugs/wires (as much as you can) for any obvious signs of arcing (check it at night, if they are glowing thats bad) or cracking/splitting. If you can determine how long the plugs/wires have been on the car it may be a good idea to change them anyway, even if its not the problem. Also, talk to the guys that replaced the motor and make sure they replaced it with a proper LT1 motor and didn't do some sort of hack job with a regular SBC or something.

You say there is a hesitation... well where is the hesitation? Is it under 2K RPM? If so, there is about a 10 page thread about it here on this board.

I went to the track once and my best time in 100 deg heat was a 14.6. A month and a half later I developed a hesitation and I was in the 16's. My fastest time that night was a 15.795. I went and changed my plugs, wires, installed LT's and a true dual, !EGR, !AIR, and installed new O2 sensors and my best after that in similar weather conditions I had a best of 15.2.

Recently I installed a new inlet air temp sensor and 90% of it seems to have gone away. Its only $12 for the part and it effected it a lot.

Give us a little more info about what the car feels like and maybe we can help more.

Change your fuel filter too, but you should have done that first anyhow, there fairly cheap too.

I don't know about that..Nine is doing the SAME EXACT things..the #'s are almost identacle as well...

Last Wednesday mine went

60' 2.297
330 6.478
1/8 9.923
1.8 MPH 70.98
1000 12.896
1/4 15.414
1/4 MPH 89.54

Plugs, wires, fuel filter are all new..Has no converter on it anymore.Opti is original and so are the O2's as far as i know..But has NO CODES at all..

I am in the process of figuring mine out as well..Gonna put a Fuel pressure gauge on it tomorrow and install a MSD 6A and blaster coil..I hope my fuel pressure is falling off..the car feels real good with no hesitation or missing.

So we may have the slowest LT1's in the world..just wanted you to know you weren't alone!!..lol
