Another reason to leave California!!!!

I started with a list, and it's turning into a book.

93 octane in cincy ohio.... $1.65. God i would cringe paying those prices.

Anyways, those runs seem pretty good considering the air and a near stock a4. Now time to start modding!

Bottom line, 14.5 isnt a great stock time. You should be closer to 13. Maybe you need a tune up?

Don't get on the wimp BS bandwagon, the usefullness of this forum is that you get answers to what pertains to your needs not to entertain the masses.

You're an A$$. Octane has a lot to do with numbers and the varience across the country along with altitude and temperature. Numbers in Cali on 91 Octane will be different that numbers in other parts of the country with 94 Octane if the computer is tuned to maximize that yield.

If you're all bent and stressed, we don't need you're vent here!

I ran high 13's with my 95 with just some bolt on's. Now it's in for refreshing. New bearings, cam and lifters, waterpump, opti, and headers. Last time I ran a 13.78 on my G-Tec out on 27 in Davie, Florida. It had a lot of valve train noise. That's what made me what to do the cam and lifts.

Both runs @ 90+ degree ambient temp, 180/200 degree engine temp, sea level with 1/4 tank of 93 octane street gas plus 1 gal of Sunoco 110. Shifted "manually" at redline, +/- 1000 rev brake launches.

Mods are; SLP sfc's, Lakewood LCA's, SLP CAI, MSD 6A and coil and a BM shift improver other than these the car is stock to the 2.73 and muffler, car has 99K miles, no misses or tuning probs.

Thanks to all!!
I've read here alot not to manually shift your A4. Put it in third and let it do the shifting. Most stock LT1's run high 13's to low 14's.

You know I grew up in Hollywood, Pretty damn close to Pembroke Pines. You should take that out of you preferences, you're giving South Floridians a bad name. By the way, like mentioned above, octane is a major part in getting all you can out of your engine. Maybe its just me but its pretty relevant to know how much the **** costs. Don't be an *** when it comes to posting. You should take pride in the fact that you drew as many people as you did into this post. Hell, the only reason that I clicked on it is because those track times suck major a$$. Have a Nice Day!

O yeah, and by-the-way...Using the "Takes one to know one" come back is pretty lame dude, when you have to resort to that you should just give-up.

Here in Houston I done 14.1 @101.3mph at Houston Raceway Park with K&N stock filter replacement and Borla catback (no plates). My R/T was 0.550 and next ru. 0.000 on the slow green tree. My tires are Goodyear HP's worn down to the wear markers and do not hook up good at all, but everyone is telling me that the LT1's stock are high 13's to 14. I'm hunting down Hooker LongTubes right now and a 3" ypipe no cats and just bought an underdrive pulley and Arizona speed marine CAI with hi-flow 1LE elbow, so I'm hoping for 13.6 or 13.8 soon and lower than that with headers.
