i went to 7580 today, not hopin for mych better times than before, my old best was a 14.20 but i had this annoying sputter at around 4000rpms, i changed the oil, plugs, and put in some seafoam, and it seemed to really help.
i ran a
1/4 mi: 14.09 @95mph
2.20 60ft
1/8 mi:9.0913

i missed a shift at the last 200 feet, DOH,
and the whold time i was almost 1 car length from a car that ran a 13.1

the mods i have are a hooker catback and a K&N FIPK
shes got 92,000 miles

i know that it can run 13's
can someone disect my 1/4 and tell me what it might run
is my 9 second 1/8 quick? i not as firmilliar with 1/8 as the 1/4

 

Get your 60 foot a little better and you will run a 13.

 

What exactly is the "seafoam" thing?

 

Seafoam cleans the carbon out of your motor.
Some people use it and rave about it others have had problems with it.
If you do use it, take out the O2 sensors or buy new ones cause it will probably take them out.

 

your mph is low something is up with that! you shuld be around 99 - 101. with the same mods I was running 13.90@102W/2.2060ft and thats with 118,000mi

well 75/80 was having problems with their mph thing today, my buddy ran a 13.9 in his transam ls1 @7.03mph

so my mph isnt correct. it was throwin all sorts of funny mph's today...

 

I ran a 13 second ET with a 2.2 sixty foot, looks alot like your run except for the MPH.

9.061 @ 80.50
13.963 @ 100.67

I've gotten many 2.0 sixties with street tires. Get yours down, and you'll run a 13.

 

actually the mph was off because i missed 5th gear, my mph traps would be around 101mph before

Yea man, if you drop that 60' you'll be 13s. I kept pulling 2.4s and was running 13.7-13.9s then i finally cut a 2.1 and pulled a 13.5

 

if it gives you any idea what you should be running:

i ran a 13.9 @ 103.57 (2.37 60') in hot weather with nothing but a k&n fipk and 2OTL exhaust in my 95 m6 z28

 

RickS - What was you 1/8 mph? You sure it wasn't 4th gear you missed near the end of the track, not 5th?
