I had someone tell me that they had a 1300 shot on their street car.....it was acutally a shop and i was like I thought that the biggest kit that they had was a 1000 shot.....but maybe i'm wrong and this guys right.....

General rule of thumb.... you can not RELIABLY spray more than 50-60% of what the base NA engine is making. IOW, spray 250- 300HP on a 500HP engine. If you try to increase the percentage more than that, the O2 enrichment becomes high enough to make it very difficult to control combustion and prevent detonation.

I've seen an ad in National Dragster for a $54,000 762 cubic inch "Sonny's" engine, and they spray 650HP on top of an engine that make 1,650HP NA. The shop that built my engine has a 7.0-second Pro5.0 car, and they are spraying maybe 500HP on top of an 850HP NA setup.

I guess you could spray more, but the engine probably wouldn't make it down the track more than one pass, if that.

 

That's what I thought.....it was on some C5-R block LS1 stroker motor......it had a .700+ lift cam in it so i know it was making some power but it wasn't going to hold together on a 1000+ shot.....

 

Could you make a kit to spray that much, yes. Would it be practical, no.
