The Roadmasters and Caprices were lower HP but more TQ than the F body. Can't remember exact #'s but I think +/- 10 would cover it.

Are you on crack?

The b-body LT1 was 260hp 330tq some literature places that 330tq as low as 2400rpms not sure if I quite buy that but it is a lower and slightly higher peak than the f-body and does so with 87 octane. Don't think this is "detuned" what it is is VERY well matched to the stock b-body 2.56-3.08 and 4200+lbs.. The bolton guys have taken that motor past 300RWhp and as fast as 12.3 for one guy with a handfull of others in the 12s as well so again don't think of it as less powerful just as better matched to the car this chassis plants torque well and needs it to move it's weight.

At 180K I took my Roadmaster WAGON to the track very little "free" mods were done to it and a self cobbled 87 octane tune base curb weight is 4672lbs. she went 15.5 and I weight 200lbs so with my tools and crap raceweight was probably approaching 4900lbs. The Roady should be a great way for you to enjoy the LT1 year round while letting you play more with your other car. A sedan will be lighter and it is possible for them to run high 14s stock if looking for mods or vehicle specific info hit the Impala forums it is VERY much the same car as the 94-96 ImpalaSS.

I have 195,000 miles on mine and it's still strong as hell

Really though, you would have to get it dyno'd.

220,000 on my 94z28 it still runs pretty strong. Smokes alittle, and is getting somewhat tired. Kinda wonder just how long it will go.
