Hey guys I was wondering what you thought of my set up and what I'll run whn I get out to the track this year..

Mods are as follows:
Cam: 236/242 @.050 .555/.576-with rockers
Pro mag 1.6 SA roller rockers.
Ls7 lifters
Comp 918 beehive springs
Comp high tech hardened push rods.
SS ram air hood and intake with K&N filter
SLP mid tube headers
Flowmaster 3 inch from the headers back.

And soon a set of 4.10's in the rear end.

I'm really hoping to hit the 12 second barrier this year.. Think it's possible with yhat work done?

 

12's should be easy to hit as long as its running right on the stock tune. with a tune i would say mid-low 12's @ 115-117 with traction IMO

Forgot to say I'll have a tune and a set of 315 D/R on the back to go with the new gears.

 

Good, I was going to come in here and say you weren't going to hit 12's without a decent tire.

with that cam, if you get ported heads i would say mid-low 11s would be possible w/o much hassle

 

Stock heads, big cam, midtubes, and no suspension?

Low 13s or very high 12s. Add a dyno tune, full suspension, and ported heads/LTs and run 11s all day if you can drive .

 

Sounds kind of like my current setup, although I do have LTs... see sig

edit: Also time in sig was done on bone stock 145k mile rusty/cruddy suspension, the only traction mod was Nitto drag radials on salad shooters

 

The mid tubes were on re car when I bought it. long tubes and headers are on next years list if I don't upgrade to a vette or build a 6.2 for the car.


Suspension will be ordered next week hopefully. Well lca, pan hard bar, and sub frame conectors.
