Kevin Herbert, he posted as Slim before he sold his 97 TA was doing 117 in a full weight auto TA, he had LTs, Ported LT1 Heads and a Comp 230/236 Cam. I can easily see a six speed car with ported LT4s or AFRs, nice big well macthed roller going over the buck 20 mark. Dynos are tunning aids guys, gotts take it to the track, thats were it really counts in that mph you run.

I've run a best mph of 125...hoping to improve on that in the next week or so.....It has to stop raining so I can race. I'm not a stock bottom end...I'm like clint its a 355. It does have stock lt1 castings that have been ported and is a solid roller. I'm shoting for 126 on these lt1 castings. Race weight was 3440 and air was +1500 on those 125 runs. The guys with the big dyno numbers and not the et/mph to go with it...well...lets just say my first trip to the track I trapped 117. Nothing on the motor has changed..just every thing around it to get it to 125+ mph.

Chris B did run 123 on a stock bottom end with lt4s and I think Jordan got 121-122 with some afr heads.

Tim <== Shooting for those -2000 DA days.

Didn't you put close to 450 to the tire like I did? Last I read you were at 440, Congrats, especially with your stock heads. Do you catch as much crap as I do about your mph not being at least 125 with 440-450 at the tire? Just curious...
I wound up pulling 450 at the wheels after a TB swap. Ofcourse at that time I was tuning with the converter locked up. Now I'm running with a nonlock up converter and haven't pulled on the same dyno yet... should be a little over 400 rwhp now... BIG converter.
As for catching crap, I haven't caugt any (from people in person, but there is always some tool on the internet who knows it all and takes a shot)... most folks at the track and on the street don't like having a stock bottomend LT1 car either running right with them or walking off, LOL. The car has run good for me, hell the 11.26 was with the transmission not wanting to make the 2-3 shift. Once I work out the tranny bugs some 11 teens should be happeing.
Steve...

~125 should be no problem at all with any competent set of heads and proper valvetrain. I have a couple guys going 121 on a hydro roller with stock heads....you should have no problems. Some SE cars are going low 31's high 30's with rule cams and un-blueprinted heads....now of course the weight difference and suspension difference.
