no reaction time is not part of your et, just how long you sat there before ,damn the light is green

so et doesn't start until you break the starting beams

I just ran in the 12s yesterday. The car wasn't running perfect and the shift point need to be messed with but here is my mods and video.
I have 3.73, midwest 3000 stall, 1.6 rr, CAI, PS headers with xpipe dumped at rear end, TB bypass, 160 thermostat, and pcmforless tune

R/T has nothing to do with your quarter mile time. If that was the case id be running 13.7's.

full weight minus spare tire so I am guessing some where in the range of 3800-3900 I weigh 215lbs. I need to find a scale some where around here so I can get it weighed.
60'=1.797
1/8=8.25
1/4=12.98
mph=104.37
oh and the reaction time was .233 which has nothing to do with the et. The light turns green but until you move to break the beam on the start line the time will not start. Just to back up slowride94z!

Very nice. I'm itching to c what my car does now that i've got the motor swap complete but I dont have the safety equipment to run 11's so i'm having to wait till the local track opens up.

Wow! With the mods in my sig and a 3500 lbs race weight I was only able to pull a 8.43 1/8 and a 1.81 60 foot time. By not having a CAI on my car, could it be hurting me that much?

My '96 with auto trans seems to run faster without stalling the trans against the brake. Try letting it idle until that last yellow blinks out and floor it. Last time I was at the track in 2 hours I only got 2 runs and would have liked to try a couple of launches 'cause it seems the 60ft sets the pace for the whole run.

I tried both stalling and not stalling it. It never made a difference on my times.

I noticed the same thing. I always use a little bit of break to take the slack out of the driveline. Makes the reaction times more consistant and cuts down on the driveline shock during the launch. Taking variables out is key in bracket racing. Do the samething everytime and you can nail the tree. If you can't cut consistant .0XX (.5XX for us old people - when did they change it?) reaction times you can't be competitive. A bit off topic but FWIW.
