Unhappy 12 Bolt Rear and Torque Arm Problems

I purchased a Moser 12 Bolt last December and here is what happened:

1. I shortened my driveshaft about an inch to allow for the Moser installation (1350 yoke) and the weld broke while driving. Luckily I had a driveshaft safety loop. Instead, I had a larger steel balanced drive shaft installed. No problems.

2. Throwing a shift from 1st to 2nd, my aftermarket torque arm broke in half. I replaced the aftermarket with my stock torque arm in Feb 03.

3. After installation, the gears in the Moser were pretty loud so Moser sent me a new set of gears and took off $250.00 from my purchase for my inconvenience.

4. On 18 Dec 03, the top part of my stock torque arm came apart (where the arm is bolted to the housing) and now I am waiting for my SLP torque arm which looks the same as a BMR.

While I have about 370 hp at the flywheel, should I be busting torque arms? Any suggestions or ideas?

Happy Holidays!

no you shouldnt be "busting" tq arms, i know a guy who took his stock arm to 10.60's cutting 1.4 60fts spraying on the launch, granted its more an exception to the rule then the norm!!

where exactly did the BMR arm break at? just right in the middle of a tube or at a weld point?
