I run a 12.1 with a 383 with heads/cam. You will not run anything near an 11 without a good chunk of $$ in tires, suspension, new rearend (you will blow yours before you run an 11), possibly new clutch/transmission... Ya you may be able to get the power needed relatively cheap.
