Kept the opti together for a few passes till she exploded again
. I'm very happy with the way that the car runs, but I guess I need a Dynaspark or something better than the piece of **** Accel that I have. Here's my best pass...
RT .048
60' 1.625
330 4.680
1/8 7.255
MPH 95.48
1000 9.506
1/4 11.416
MPH 118.49
I can't wait to get a new opti and the car dyno tuned. I guess you can never get satisfied

the accels really dont like custom cams. my accel kept exploding also, and i finaly found the problem the accel shaft was an 1/8 longer then the stock opti. there was to much pressure on the rotor button. the first accel lasted 3 miles and the second went some where around 12-19 miles. i put the gm back in and now have about 1500 miles on it and got my money back for the accel. also make sure you have the flat hex bolts in the cam behind the opti. that was another problem of mine. i used the bolts that came with my cam and they had an 1/8 longer head. (that makes a 1/4" total)we got the bolts of an old 350 in the back and used them. and if none of that works then your cam is floating. great times by the way.

I'm turning it 67-6800 so far. The car weighed 3640 last year with me in it, but I lost some weight. Hopefully It's at 3590. I'll take it to a scale later this year.

Thanks Alan, where do you shift your cam at? I don't know what is causing the rotor bolts to come out, even after loctite was added.
