1 stage colder plugs or stock?

1 stage colder plugs or stock?

i finished my heads and cam install along with 30 lb injectors etc.... i used tr6 plugs one stage cooler, my mechanic said go back to the stock heat range,so i put in the tr55.should i run 1 stage colder plugs with heads and cam? or was he right? he said only for nitros do you need to do colder plugs. thank you

pretty sure you only need to use colder plugs if you are using nitrous or raise the compression

Stick with the tr55s....your mechanic is correct.

You should drop one heat range for every 75-100 horsepower added to the car... TR-6 s are only a half heat range colder than stock.... People get buy with running stock heat range plugs with your setup but too much heat will mean trouble later on....
