#1 Slip-In Primary Leak

After Installing my Jet-Hot's (Ceramic) the #1 Primary which comes in two peices has developed an exhaust leak right where they slip together. Does anyone know what I can do to keep it from leaking? I was thinking about a band-clamp, but is their anything else that will seal it up? Thanks in advance.

Sux dont it..Jethot says to use a pipe-expander but they dont work worth a flip. The header shoulda been made right in the first place. Customer service manager never answers his phone or returns calls(Dave) Im sick and tired of my header leaking and rattling because its such a loose fit. Ive tried all different kinds of clamps, muffler mender, and Hi Temp RTV, and none have worked

I've been told about something that I'm looking into... I guess there's some sort of exhaust sealer that's similar to pipe-dope that's used on 2-stroke engine exhausts... I guess my brother has some (I just haven't seen him in a few weeks) that he got from one of his friends that works on small engines/4-wheelers/dirtbikes/etc...

I've got the same leak that's now developed... and it's starting to get on my nerves as well...

But do you have Jethot/Hooker LT's? I tried doing the same with a U-bolt style exhaust clamp when I had my Hooker LT's but there just wasn't enough room. The T-style ones would fit but they didnt have enough clamping force to make any difference.

Anyways I perpetually had this problem with my Hooker LT's. I tried damn near everything I could think of short of having them welded together and nothing worked. Eventually I sold them and I'm much happier now that I'm not constantly trying to fix an exhaust leak.
