In the 1/8 mile, do you usually hit the 2-3 shift in an A4?

In the 1/8 mile, do you usually hit the 2-3 shift in an A4?
thinking about going to the 1/8 friday and was wondering if the 2-3 shift comes into play on an A4?

Besides gear ratio, it depends on if your shift points have been altered.

i have never run the 1/8th but i have 2.73 gears in my 94 z28 and i dont shift into third until 91 or 92 mph (auto). and i doubt my 1/8th trap speed is 90 or more, so i would say no, you wouldnt.

I hit third gear about 60 feet before the traps in the 1/8 with 3.73's.28" tires, and a 6500 shift point.

At redline in 2nd is 79mph. So if your trapping over that in the 1/8th you will be in 3rd briefly... Under and it wont even hit (obviously).
