if that is your lift with the 1.6's, simply divide by 1.6 and multiply by 1.7 to get your lift with 1.7s
that will be a lot of lift, but, it's always your call

thanks for the info, one more question though do they require different studs or valve covers for 1.7's

i think studs as long as they are 3/8" will fit
and i think you either need to remove the baffles on the stock valve covers or get some lt4 valve covers also
and you probably have to check some kind of clearance, can't remember exactly
