1.7 RR's and XE lobes???
1.7 RR's and XE lobes???
Any one running this set up?
Just curious if the 1.7's are giving any one probelms with the "aggressive" XE lobes.
FWIW, there is a good artile in this months Popular Hot Rodding that talks about valve problems and what is happening at high RPM. Some of the article is just a sales pitch for their bee hive springs but if you look past that, there is some good technicle data that talkes about harmonics, valve bounce, push rod deflection, etc.......

I've actually got everything I need to put them on my car sitting in the garage. Unfortunately I'm still battling my stumble/hesitation problem, or I'd have them on already.
I'm planning to finish the tune as the car sits and then getting numbers. Then, I'll swap on the 1.7's, get new numbers, and then tune for the 1.7's, and again get numbers. Should be good for a comparison. IF I ever get the stumble/hesitation fixed.
