1.7 Roller Rockers?
1.7 Roller Rockers?
Getting a custom cam that will have around .595 lift intake/exhaust with the 1.7's. For this amount of lift is it okay to use roller rockers if I upgrade the pushrods? This is going in a bolt on lt1 that will not be reved past 6,000 and won't see 6k too often (will probably never see the track).
Also, what springs do you guys recommend?

Well, at what point would nsa's be more apporpriate than sa (e.g. at what lift)? I know this is open ended and opinionated but I can get a great deal on 1.7 sa rockers using the 7/16 studs.
For a street car I would think sa would be fine even with high lift. Are upgrading the pushrods necessary with sa? There must be people on this board running 1.6 sa rr's with around .600 cam lift with no problems?

The 1.7 Vs 1.6 debat depends on how the valvetrain is setup (stabability), the cam profile, and how many RPM's you are wanting to turn.
For my Blower setup I am running a 1.7 RR on a XE Lobe using 918 beehives, Morel link bar lifters, to 6200 RPM
We have a smaller base circle cam opposed to the 55mm Ls1 cam.
