1.6rr,what springs?

i would like to do a cam swap over winter, and i was wondering what type of rockers should i get...self aligning or? Whats the difference. I dont want to spend to much but i want decent stuff. What type of springs should i get also, what else will i need besides the cam? The cam specs are simalar to the cc305.

You will need springs, retainers, locks and valve seals. Thats all i think. Cmotorsports.com has some good stuff and if you call them they are very helpfull. The 612 springs will handle up to .600 lift and are a cheap.

a roller rocker is a roller rocker. all are the same. just make sure it is a full roller rocker meaning roller tip and roller fulcrum.

1.6 roller rockers do make more valve train noise then 1.5. Its kind of irratating. But depending on how much lift the lifters are seeing matters of what spring to get. Some springs are rated to .525 .550 .600. just some common numbers. try to get the spring that matches your valve lift.

I like my Crane 10308-1 kit, well under 200 for springs with dampers, retainers, locks, and seats that are suitable for .600 lift at 7000RPM...They work great with my 306 cam...

I got mine from www.thunderracing.com ...

And self aligning rockers do not require the use of guideplates, NSA do.

NSA are better then SA imo. The SA's are easier to install because they don't require guide plates, but NSA are quiter and won't slip off like the SA's can.
