1.6 rr's
1.6 rr's
I was wondering what gains i would find from doing 1.6 rr's and valve springs on a high millage car w/ original valve springs. And if you suggest for me to do the rr's cause i'll probably do the valve springs regardless, what rr's are the best bang for buck.
Thanks in advance

I heard 15 rwhp out of 1.6rr. I haven't been to a dyno so I couldn't tell you how much I gained from them. I have the comp cams pro magnum (at least I think that what they said, i'll try to find the part number.)
EDIT: I just saw that you got MACs, how do you like them on the 93? I just got mine and will be doing the install this weekend, I can't wait

Thanks for the reply. I love my mac's i did the 94-95 style cause i couldnt find the 93 style. Great plug access even though i havent had the plugs out yet. the headers have been in a little less than a year. Make sure u buy a dip stick tube that's the only prob we had. If u got anymore questions just let me know. I'd be glad to help.
Check out www.thunderracing.com they are having a sale on 1.6 RR's right now $163 I think!
Get the LT4 Hot Cam kit.
1.6:1 RR, springs, lifters, and of course the cam. 30-40hp is average gain.
switching to roller rockers will get about 10hp. If your stock springs are a bit tired, new springs would "gain back" a few ponies... but you'd have to swap them out anyway if you went with a higher-valve-lift (due either to 1.6 or 1.65 rockers, or a bigger cam).
