What kind of gains could i see with putting in 1.6rr's with a stock head cam and intake car? Is it worth it or doesn't it show anything till i put bigger cam?

 

Its a worthwhile mod to do now. You could probably see gains of around 10 hp, maybe a little more. It is a good idea to upgrade the springs while you are at it.

The LT4 springs are a cheap set that are good for just a rocker upgrade.

 

I have heard 10-15 rwhp. You are probably on the 10rwhp mark, add headers and I could see 15 from 1.6rr's.

 

What are the lt4 springs good to or would i have to upgrade again once i put a cam in? And how do i determine the lift of my stock cam with the 1.6 rrs?

 

If you threw a cam in the mix, the LT4 springs would have to be upgraded again. Considering they can be had for around 40 bucks for the set, it isn't the end of the world I guess, and you could always sell them and probably recoup some of the money back.
