not sure about the pushrods, but you will have to get at least lt4 springs. also if they ar non self aligning rr's you will have to get guideplates.

You'll be fine w/ stock pushrods. Check them for trueness when you get them out.

Honestly if your going to pull the valve train off, why not just replace the old pushrods anyway?

Re: 1.6 rr

i am using stock springs on my 1.6 NSA comp pro mag assembly. I used comp hardened pushrods and guideplates as well. but i did use the stock springs.. runs fine. should i have used different springs. I did a lot of research on this and nothing turned up an answer of using different springs.. afterall, the lift is still a good deal under .500 lift, so shouldn't it be fine?

My only concern with reusing the stock springs would be that they might have weakend over time and miles. gmhighperformance.com has a good article regarding breathing life into a high mileage 4th gen Z, one of the things they replaced along with 1.6RRs was the valve springs. You might use the parts they replaced as a bit of a guide regarding what you should do. You can find the article here.

Re: 1.6 rr

It's always better to replace the springs, but...

Stock set-up, the springs still have 0.060" of travel left before coil bind. With 1.6rrs and everything else stock, you will have 0.030" left. Most cam manufacturers say 0.060 is the minimum. There are people (including me) who are using stock springs anyway. If your engine doesn't have a lot of miles (whatever that means) and if you never exceed the factory red-line, then maybe the stock springs are OK. (just one guy's opinion)
