1.6 rockers

i was going to get some 1.6 roller tip magnum rockers from comp cams and was wondering if i wold still have to clearance the valve cover or not.

Comps will require some clearancing, really not a big deal and has been covered in some past posts with detailed pictures. The Cranes should bolt right in though without clearancing the valve covers.

IMHO, the roller tipped rockers are not a good value. You don't get the best benefit from roller rockers unless you get the full roller version. IMHO, save your money untill you can get the full rollers.
