1.6 rocker arms smog legal?

1.6 rocker arms smog legal?

i just want to know if they would have any effect on me passing smog. The guy at the test shop said i wouldn't pass smog if put them on. i wand to know if he's right before i do it.

In CA you should be fine. Most people out there with the LT4 hotcam kit, that comes with the 1.6 RR's still pass just fine. I used to live in San Diego, so I know how crappy smog is out there.

If the guy knows you have them he can fail you just for that.

Should not affect the test very much, but the unapproved part issue comes up. If they do not have a CARB# they could shut you down for that reason.

I would go some place else and not mention them.

just don't mention them, I doubt they will take your valve covers off to look at them. it will mostly depend on the cam you use with them that will cause you to fail the sniffer test.

so if i get the lt4 hot cam, i should still beable to pass smog with the cam, springs,and rocker arms
