I have a stock bottom end with Heads and cam. I am thinking about doing the GM 847 do I need to get 1.5's or can I use the 1.6's? Also I have the dual springs with the dampener from comp those should hold it correct??

u should have no problem using 1.6 rockers on her with ok springs since the ramp rate is really slow.

 

Find out what the springs are rated to ( lift) and always do a piston to valve clearance check when you install a cam that big.... I put the 847 in my car last spring with 1.6 rockers and had plenty of clearance.... Good Luck
