1.5 roller rocker to 1.6 roller rocker
1.5 roller rocker to 1.6 roller rocker
I know similar questions have been asked, but not this exact one. When I first got my car, the dumb mechanic told me to get the 1.5 roller rockers, and not to get the 1.6 ones because I would not be able to pass emissions. So I bought the 1.5 crane cams gold roller rockers. I have the comp cams xe 224. My question is, Is it worth the trouble to switch from a 1.5 to a 1.6 if I already have roller rockers on there? and what type of gains will I get?

Re: 1.5 roller rocker to 1.6 roller rocker
What lift are you at now? Is it .502 / .510 with the 1.5 RR's? If it is, then yes, you will gain from the 1.6 RR's and I'm going to say 10+ rwhp if you have stock heads.
You have CAI and headers right?
I have stock heads and cam, and going by my track times, I gained more than 10-15 rwhp from 1.5 rockers to 1.6 RR's.

which are pretty much stock heads. Did you already have the roller rockers at 1.5 then switch to 1.6 or did you have the stock rockers to begin with?
